Oriel Ministries was established in January 2009 as a registered charity by Co-Founders Chris and Nikki Uglow, whose heart and passion was for reaching the young people with the Gospel. They saw a desperate and urgent need to reach these young people and help them to deal with the pressures and issues that they face on a daily basis through an attractive and culturally relevant way. Their vision was focused in the South West and they based themselves in Cornwall as this was the county that God placed on their heart. Their main aim was to set up the band L.E.D to tour the schools of the South West, reaching thousands of young people in an inspirational and life changing way by combining vibrant music and faith through exciting lessons, workshops, assemblies and concerts. By partnering with local churches and youth organisations they were able to follow up and disciple the young people who responded to the Gospel and have seen many bring families and friends into the church as well as some becoming young leaders in their churches and schools.

Over the years, the ministry has grown and many new projects have been launched; From girls work to boys only groups – to running afterschool clubs, events and conferences, mainly to help reach more young people but also to concentrate and deal more closely with some of the problems and issues which young people deal with on a daily basis and build those important relationships so that they can be mentored, discipled and counselled where needed.  To know more about our Ministry projects check out the Projects Page.
